(July 24, 2015) - On July 18 elected officials, community members, whitewater enthusiasts and commercial outfitters celebrated the Grand Opening of Browns Canyon National Monument with a dedication at Buena Vista High School. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell joined GovernorJohn Hickenlooper, Senator Michael Bennet and about 60 others for a raft trip and lunch through the canyon down the Arkansas River prior to the dedication that afternoon.
